The first day at school is always full of expectations, enthusiasm and motivation. It’s a very special day both for students and their teacher as it’s the birth of something new. It’s a bright moment in everyone’s life, a starting point for a long journey.
I heard once: “A new language means a new life” and it’s so true! Studying a second language is a kind of new start and it may change one’s living in far more ways than the learner could expect it from the beginning. Learning a new language will make you feel free when traveling abroad and communicating with locals. You start understanding the news on the net, enjoy watching a film in another language and just feel more confident every time you meet people from different countries.
Since English is a global language learning it can influence your life in many directions. It can be compared to a universal key that opens many doors in people’s lives. Entering the University or a college, finding a better job (why not in another country?)or just making new friends all over the world and understanding their cultures can be some of the first improvements.
So, when you come home, inspired and delighted after your first day at school, make a plan for your studies. Remember, that setting clear goals for learning, finding some time for regular studies and a lot of practice will be the first step to your renewed life.
Welcome back to school=)
